Best days were when they were using up the CP stock and you'd get a real mixture of things..just be on the 2nd glass of cabernet, when they'd run out and you'd have to switch to Shiraz.
Nothing like getting educated while you fly.
Can't talk about the champagnes, but the reds for the past few months (seems like forever) have been the Kenwood Zinfandel (how about the bottle with a straw) and the Chianti (er...I'll pass). Once a while back caught a fleeting glimpse of the Rosemount Shiraz.
Whites have been the Alsace (shudder) and chardonnay (not sure which) - yum. (You can tell from this I'm an expert). Haven't seen the Iniskillin Chardonnay for yonks. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
But here's the list - anyone spotted most of these recently (er...ever ?)

Cabin crew rarely know anything about the wines beyond "this one has been really popular". If AC does go ahead with a new and improved "bedded" international J cabin they really need to emphasis crew training on both food and wine presentation.
Domestically, it has been pretty sorry state of affairs. Usually just 2 reds, 2 whites if that sometimes only 1 of each ... so so quality and champers on request only.
ohhhhh tell me more... are there plans in the work?? Smile....
Definitely save my points for that.... bigger smile.
I haven't had that happen to me since Wardair, when I "babysat" an unaccomp. minor, and the F.A. slipped me a bottle as we landed. I wouuld think the poor F.A.'s would get in deep s**t if they did that now! Nice.
As for availability, my wife and I were on our way to Honolulu last Feb. enjoying an Aussie Shiraz --evening flight, and they ran out, so we had to switch to some yicky Italian red. You'd think it would be easy enough for them to stock a couple of bottles of each!
The Grey Monk I haven't seen in a while, but I did see a Lindeman's not too long ago as well.
