SSI on IIS
rose in xn--fjqr0i.com edit
  • I just got IIS running on my machine for development work, and I want to use Server-Side Includes in pages with a ".htm" extension. I followed the directions for mapping file extensions but when I got to the part where I actually type in the file type and the processor I want to use, the "Yes" button is grayed out. Does anyone know anything about this?

  • You need ssinc.dll as the processor and you need to fill in a type too before you can confirm it.

The dll name may not be right since I use IIS6 which is quite different to 5 or below. But that is what I have to do to get mine to work anyway. :P

  • With SSI you should name the file with a .stm, .shtm, .shtml, or .asp extension...
