How can I select my elite package?
smith in xn--fjqr0i.com edit
  • Unlike the previous three years when I achieved my elite status in the middle of the year, I managed to reach the 35,000 mile level at the last minute in 2006.
The "aeroplan" website indicates that I will be defaulted (with terrible choices of benefits) unless I select my package by January 21st. However, I didn't receive any invitation email yet. I called the aeroplan elite customer service number, and they said that they cannot do anything for me (after acknowledging that I have achiveved the 2007 elite status), and asked me to send an email to aeroplan.com. When I sent an email to aeroplan.com, they in turn told me that I have to call the aeroplan elite customer service. Now only a few days left, and I am a bit frustrated with Aeroplan. I need bonus miles and 2 SSWUs (while the dafault choices seem to be SWU and status miles). NAU is useless for me. How may I choose my preferred benefits by January 21st, if I don't receive an invitation email by then? Even worse, I will be travelling from January 20th, and I would like to settle this issue before I am on the road.

  • Thanks a lot for your advice, but it was in vain. I clicked the "see your Air Canada elite status benefits" button, but it takes me to the general information on the benefit program. The elite line person told me to wait for an invitation email (it's very strange that I have to receive the email to select the benefits) since the email is necessary for the selection process. Now, becoming even more frustrated. Help me please!

  • I tried, but no way to select my benefits. Is there any hidden button or menu? I simply logged in and went to "top tier benefits". There, I could see all the information on the benefits, but I couldn't find a way to choose my benefits.

  • same thing happened with my husband's account... we called the elite line and they made a notation on the account so we can "exchange" the useless certs for SSWUs once we get the default package.

  • I, too, just made elilte at the last minute (well, actually I never did make it, ending up with 49 segments and 34,200 miles but I had received assurances from them that I would indeed be elite). I received the invitation email last Wednesday so maybe your's is "in the mail". If you want, send me a pm and I'll let you know whom I discussed my status with.

  • How about logging on to aeroplan.com and selecting your benefits?

  • When I first looked at the site, it wasn't onbvious to me, a closer look at the pages revealed the magic button. Having already made my selections, I can no longer see what you need to find on the webpage. Try calling the Elite line again while you have the site up, and see if they can guide you through it.

When you first log on, do you get the page that says "Your Aeroplan", your name, status, AP number and mileage balance are on the left side of the page? If you are there, click the link that says "see your [COLOR="Red"]Air Canada Elite Status benefits[COLOR="red"]. That should direct you to the selection page, it takes me to the package I did select.

    Good luck.
