ATC still uses "CP"?
smith in xn--fjqr0i.com edit
  • Listening on YYZ ATC tonight, noticed that YYZ ATC still uses "Canadian" for CP metal but AC flight numbers. So "CP" still exists somewhere! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

There's only 2 Canada airports there... YYZ and YYC. I wish YVR was there as well!

  • Empress.......

Where you using a scanner or a website ? If it's a website....I'd like the link if you wouldn't mind.

  • Officially these flights are considered Air Canada flights *operated* by Canadian Airlines, that is how the gate announcements are now being made. The CP designator is definitely still around but when tracking it, try the 4 digit flight number i.e. CP3123.

  • Aha! That explains why I wasn't able to use Flight Tracker to locate a CP operated flight. I thought perhaps they had stopped filing flight plans. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
