  • The rules for the $50 Visa companion cert say that the companion has to fly with the primary passenger on all flights. What if the companion no-shows the final segment on a forced overnight connection? Will the airline deny boarding to the primary passenger? Has anyone tried this?


  • I did something very similar using an AA companion cert and had no problem. If anyone says something, you could always suggest, "he's on his way," "car trouble," or "I'm not my brother's keeper." YMM, of course, V.

    My sister said exactly that! Nearly missed quasi-connecting flight on different PNR through LAX that she was to be on as well...


  • They won't catch the no-show until after the flight has left... so no worries.
